The Chambre Syndicale, created in 1917, is the only organization in France recognized "for the defense of the general interests of the chartering industry and the maritime trade encompassing the operations of purchase, rental or sale of ships carried out as 'intermediary or contracting party...'.

 

It brings together some 200 brokers, serving international maritime trade. These brokers offer a wide range of skills and services in the technical and legal fields as well as financial.

 

The Chambre Syndicale is a member of the "Federation of National Associations of Ship Brokers and Agents"(FONASBA), of the Maritime Arbitration Chamber of Paris (CAMP) and the French Maritime Cluster (C.F.M.).
